Dear ma, i really miss you
I am doing well
We just won a battle
Things are going swell
Today we all survived
Not a single soldier lost
And in time I will return
No matter what the cost
I hope you are ok ma
I miss you quite a lot
Things here are great
Far better than I thought
We are treated well here
The food and clothes are great
But your food will always be
The greatest thing I've ate
I hope I can hug you soon
And taste your lovely bread
I promise I'll return befor long
And I wont be dead
So wait for me my mother
I wont be out too long
Soon I will be back
Where I truly belong
I had to write this for my history class, it's about what kind of things a soldier in WW1 would write to their mother, and i used the word 'ma' because people say that word where i live a lot and it fit in well
